
Fish Friendly Farming
2005 workshop series
The Sotoyome Resource Conservation District, in collaboration with Laurel Marcus and Associates, will be offering the next Fish Friendly Farming workshop series starting in January 2005 in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
Dates for the workshops will be posted on this website in October.

***All workshops are from 1-4 p.m.
The workshop series will include topics such as assessing natural features, evaluation of current practices, riparian corridor restoration, and management of habitat and Pierce's disease control, roads, soils, slopes, and drainage.
Free one on one technical assistance is available for each participant as well as assistance in locating cost share funding for restoration projects. Through the course, participants will receive assistance in completing a farm conservation plan outlining soil, water, and conservation measures that will sustain fish and wildlife habitat and improve water quality on their property.
The fee for the workshop series is $100 per property. This fee covers the cost of topographic maps, a Fish Friendly Farming Conservation Plan template, Fish Friendly Farming workbook of Beneficial Management Practices, aerial photos, and other course materials.
