Sotoyome RCD
is a state-mandated special district
overseen by a volunteer Board consisting of five
individuals that are landowners within our district boundaries.
Sotoyome RCD receives between $30,000 - $35,000 from the county tax base annually. The remainder of Sotoyome RCD's annual budget, which ranges from $600,000 to $900,000 per year, comes from competitively sought grant funding. This grant funding is utilized for District outreach programs, providing technical information to the public, and on-the-ground conservation projects.
We were formed
over 60 years ago as a grass-roots base to directly serve constituents at the local level. In 2005-06 we returned $21 to the community for every $1 received. Your support helps us maintain the quality of service and trust we have built with local landowners and the general public.
Your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
You may earmark your donated funds to go toward specific projects.
